Berk's Grapevine

Downloadable dragon models from Wild Skies

If you are from DreamWorks and want these models taken down, please contact us.

Want to try your hand at animating dragons? Check out these six fully rigged and textured models:

Download (Blender files)
Download (.obj meshes)
(.7z files can be extracted using 7-Zip [Win] or Keka [Mac].)

These models were extracted from the online game DreamWorks Dragons: Wild Skies, and are probably the most official models we fans will ever get to play around with. Since the models are optimized for the game, their textures aren't quite film quality, but as game models go, they're pretty detailed.

Huge thanks to barracuda, who extracted and converted these models!

Check below for a couple more images. And if you make something cool out of these dragon models, tell us and we'll post them on this page as well!

New Covers and Panels for Comic

Click the images to enlarge.

We already knew we were getting a comic based off Riders of Berk. And now we have the first comic covers! The series is set to make its debut in December! Go to "Read more" for more covers, descriptions, prices, and release dates!

UPDATE: Check out three new pages (above) that were just released today! One fourteen-page story is called "The Two Thousand Terrible Terrors." DreamWorks gave the creators of the comic a guide to the two seasons of Riders of Berk, so we can expect the comic to be nicely integrated with the show.

Leaked TV dragon: The Fireworm

We were told that there would be flightless dragons on the show, and it looks like we've found one of them! Cartoon Network uploaded images of the Fireworm as part of a "dragon manual" they have started to build on their website.

Along with Fireworm, we found the name "Smothering Smokebreath," presumably another dragon. Unfortunately, there are no images for the Smokebreath yet.

Check below for stats and images of the Fireworm!

UPDATE 9/25: Check below for a new picture and stats of the Smothering Smokebreath from Wild Skies! Thanks Serimon and barracuda!

UPDATE 9/27: New info image for the Fireworm.

Arena show projections and VIP tour

With all the recent Riders of Berk posting we've been doing, we've kind of been ignoring the Dragons arena show. So here's an update.

Read more for the three awesome behind-the-scenes arena show videos we've been collecting over the past few weeks.

Terrible Twos: New stuff

This sneak peek for Episode 4 was just added to the Cartoon Network database today. One of the video's tags was "typhoomerang," so we can be pretty sure that Episode 4 ("Terrible Twos") will be about Torch.

It's likely that Cartoon Network is going to dump a ton of photos from this episode (and perhaps the full video) into the database, keep checking this post for updates throughout the week.

UPDATE 9/8: Read more for this week's leaked image collection. Also check out this LA Times story about the series, which explains the lack of fur and confirms a total of 40 episodes. Thanks anon!

Leaked images from Animal House [UPDATED]

Here are 9 leaked image from "Animal House," the episode which is airing on Tuesday, September 4th. It looks like they are taken automatically at regular intervals in the episode, which means the dragonboarding probably appears at the beginning and the creepy blue halo appears at the end.

And here's the updated episode description: "As an approaching storm threatens Berk, Hiccup must work fast to make peace between the food-providing farm animals and the dragons."

Read more for the beautiful 720p image set.

UPDATE: 1 new picture was found! (Thanks Serimon!)

UPDATE 2:  A new description for Animal House from mysanatonio.com

"In the Viking kingdom featured in the animated series “Dragons: Riders of Berk” (6:30 p.m., Cartoon Network), the price of tranquility runs high. Inspired by the movie “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Berk” asks us to imagine a world where dragons and people have become friends. This seems like a plus, until the friendly giant lizards start scaring the barnyard animals. The kids know the dragons mean no harm and can be fun playmates — particularly while sledding down mountains — but try telling that to sheep."
