Bewilderbeast Dragon Toy!

There's a new giant dragon in town! Check out the Bewilderbeast, a new dragon from Dragons 2! We've heard about the Bewilderbeast before at Comic-Con, but this is the first picture we've seen of it so far.

It's hard to tell how big this toy it, but it's clear that the dragon is pretty large. Although I doubt the dragon in the movie will have a speaker implanted in its belly.

Any ideas on why it's chained up?

  1. dunno. maybe Drago is using them? i mean, valka wouldnt use chains :P

  2. Could be Stoick. He seems to have a thing for chaining dragons.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Should be Drago trying to keep the Dragon under control with those chains. Though I have no idea how he could do that.

    ReplyDelete
  4. And just imagine....

Theres going to be TWO of those.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Clearly, the Bewilderbeast is like pre-Crisis Wonder Woman, and is thus weakened (or, in this case, controlled) by being chained.

Or it's just a load of bovine excrement done because someone thought it would look cool, rather than having any sensible reason.

With that said, I'm more curious as to why it's walking on two legs.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Drago captured it to lure Hiccup? Thus bewildering him?

    ReplyDelete
  7. My guess is the reason that it's chained up is because their pretty hard to tame given their wild appearance. Also, the chains look like a bridle, so maybe someone uses them to hold on to as they ride on it and rope just isn't strong enough. No to mention, I honestly doubt anyone could fit a saddle on it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. well in the books its chained because the bezerkers (dont think i spelled that right) use it for dead of night sacrifices. but also the dragon tried to kill all of the vikings.
P.S. does anyone think that hiccup grew up so much in the last 2 min of Cast Out part 1?

    ReplyDelete
  9. why are there going to be two?

  10. Looks pretty cool to me,I liked the old design but this one looks more scary. I think it might be loosely based on cthulhu. Also, according to a russian toy site, this dragon can shoot ice arrows from its mouth and this toy also comes in a red and brown variant with silver chains.

  13. I think we got a bit of a spoiler in that Drago has enslaved one of two bewilderbeasts... yup, not good. Although I wonder how big it is. It is an aquatic dragon, which is neat, and it sets it apart from the Red Death. I have to wonder what this thing will actually look like. If we are going off the toy it will be pretty sinister, maybe even more than the Red Death.

  14. go to the httyd face book page and go to the worldwide release date for the move and see how unfair it is for us

    ReplyDelete
  15. That thing looks cool. I'm not crazy about its mouth though...Can't wait to see the actual dragon!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh goodness, it looks amazing! I love this dragon. It just seems so much more unique than the so many of the others. Instead the standard giant-lizard-with-wings look, this one looks more like a yeti or some other kind of mammalian beast. Very fresh and new, and soooo cool looking. :)

  17. will it looks like something from Spongebob

Holy gods! That thing sacres me wrose then my whispering death! I did however find a new toy for defenders of berk. Hatch a dragon.

  19. Gotta say, not really a fan. Just doesn't look like a dragon :/ Well, if you look in the trailer, there is a giant dragon foot with fins on it crushing everythig. Also, there is a deaign of the Bewilderbeast that looks like a sea dragon. Maybe there are two types of Bewilderbeasts. Just a theory

    ReplyDelete
  20. Just how many more things will they show us until the entire movie gets spoiled? :\

    Not two types, two individuals.

  22. Not sure if any of you are watching/watched the Oscars, but when Jamie Fox and Jessica Beal came out to present the winner for best score, the score from How to Train Your Dragon played. I got chills. Too bad John Powell's masterpiece didn't win the award in 2010. I think the fact it played as the presenters came out to announce 2013's best score speaks volumes as to just how good the score from HTTYD was and just how much it was snubbed in 2010. Greatest little easter egg moment of the Oscars. Did anybody else notice this?

    Me!
I literally just left the room and now they're playing soundtrack from Finding Nemo.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Its such a different dragon for the franchise, looks like a dragon that people would use in a mature video game, goodness, Dreamworks really is taking the next step in animated movies! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Now that I think about it, that might actually be the Dragon King they mentioned in a Comic-Con interview.

    ReplyDelete
  26. VelocityTheSpeedStingerMarch 2, 2014 at 11:50 PM

I think this dragon is chained because it's the Bewilderbeast that Drago captured/trained. It makes sense also because this dragon is in a formidable position, giving it an antagonist look. I agree with everyone else here who says that Valka's Bewilderbeast wouldn't have chains, because that isn't her style of bonding with dragons...
Question: The Bewilderbeast(s) are supposed to be like the "king of dragons", but this dragon has eyelashes like a girl! Any ideas why? Think it's a beta-model detail that will be removed? xD
I think almost everyone right now thinks this guy looks like a yeti or mature-video-game monster, but I think it looks like the Wampa from Star Wars (which does look like a yeti xD)

Ok. This has nothing to do with the bewilderbeast toy, but I heard that on the oscars, Hiccup was shown twice as one of the most heroic animated characters. One part was when he dropped the knife on the ground and tried to prove that dragons weren't who they think they are, and the other part was when Hiccup fell into the fireball. I've heard this a couple times on Instagram. But I thought that was really cool. I wish I could've seen it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It also made me think of Marshmellow from Frozen XD

    ReplyDelete
  29. They are making them for the second movie too. You put them in water and then a dragon comes out.

    ReplyDelete
  30. OMG it was romantic flight! I nearly melted at the spot. Just those little 7ish seconds made my day :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. I know right! When they first showed Hiccup in the battle arena and started to climax the piece I was like "Come on, more HTTYD, more HTTYD!"

    Then...

Toothless diving into the flames and I was like...

    =O

    Then

    =)

    Then

    =D

And now.. stuck with the smile on my face.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Where did you find this one?

    ReplyDelete
  33. That was cool too, but the little excerpt of romantic flight right before the best score was announced was especially =O

    ReplyDelete
  34. Guys you gotta remember, the actual animation is gonna look much better and 10x cooler when you see it in the film.. Rather then seeing it in toy film. Just compare Astrids toy figure to Astrid in the film. Or like lego Astrid to film Astrid... There's your comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Welp if you don't like it don't go see the film. XD

    ReplyDelete
  36. True Dat. I feel like it's already been spoiled too much. I didn't expect to see Eret until I was sitting in a movie theater. Now this?! I was happy just seeing this creatures foot smash a trap in the official trailer.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Actually the toy does look like something from Spongebob and also there was a Episode of Spongebob and his friends they saw something just like that and i actually called Spongebob stupid and funny.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anyone else wondering how they are gonna tie up the Part 2 episode?

We know that Stoick, Toothless, Hiccup, Astrid and all of them will make it because they were all in the trailer and have posters to be in the second movie. Sooo... When I was watching it I was like "Yup, Stoicks gonna live and make it out." Cuz he was in the trailer. And of course they can't kill Toothless so that means there has to be some sort of defeat.

Maybe just like they all become allies..

Or if they really want to tease us they could give it a cliff hanger to the season 3 but I don't think they will because a season 3 is not even confirmed yet by the producers or director.

Instead it looks like this episode was intended to be the final one ever, so if anything the next season would be the last as a sort of "encore" presentation because fans were so set on a third season. Kind of like 7th Heaven (american family tv show.. if any of the older kids remember it), they went out and so many fans protested that they did an encore season before ending for good.

    ReplyDelete
  39. wait if the bewilderbeast is the king of dragons then were does that put toothless isn't he supposed to be the most powerful dragon (beat monsturous nightmare, skrill, whispering death) so is toothless the prince or what can someone please help me out here

    ReplyDelete
  40. Y'all notice Hiccup is being held in the closer dragon's claws? Must be when He's first captured by Valka...

    ReplyDelete
  41. where did you find out there is going to be two

    ReplyDelete
  42. will i still think this looks like that

    ReplyDelete
  43. I hope they don't pull of some sappy noble thing at the end and set it free. I want that thing dead. KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Toothless is not the most powerful. In the first film they had no idea that there were king and queen dragons, so the night fury got the name to be the most rare and most fierce.

Upon taming, he is more agile and quicker then other dragons, with a seemingly longer shot limit. He is strong for being a smaller dragon and can take on a monsterous nightmare, a dragon over twice his size and probably three or four times his weight.

However as far as strength other dragons can out do him with sheer size. While kings and queens have more physical strength, Toothless is the fastest dragon out there.

He is not a king, his breed was just feared because no one knew anything about that dragon species until Hiccup tamed him.

As far as the most powerful.. There are a lot of ways to be powerful.

Some dragons are immune to things, some have a tough skin like the gronckle and can put rocks to dust with a single bite. Their strength is jaw strength and tough skin.

Monsterous nightmare is a formidable competitor because it can set its scales on fire and has size and strength on its side.. But is not as agile nor as quick as the night fury.

Deadly nadders are smart, quick and agile. They do well in agility and therefore are second only to the night fury. Their poison spikes create a great defense, with great aim.

Hideous Zippleback.. They have two heads, and can set lots of fire by spraying lots of gas with one head and igniting it with the other. The only problem is that they are not the smartest, and the two heads tend to bicker like siblings. Thus why it takes two riders to control them, one for each head to keep them in toe. Possibly why the twins get on so well with them, the dragons two minds are similar to siblings, and of course have sibling rivalry. Only they are connected to one body. So yup.

As for the rest the others have certain strengths and certain weaknesses. Look at each one. The skrill is a very formidable competitor, and is very nearly just as powerful as the night fury.

So king, no.. The point is is that every dragon has a personality, and a strength and weakness..

Just like labs are loyal and easy to train, and german shepards take authority and are more protective. Kind of like real life animals, each species they have shown proves to have their own traits that shape their personalities. Also, riders influence their dragons personalities and who they get along with.

In closing, there is no "almighty dragon" who is above all others. Not even Toothless. Each dragon has one that is more powerful or less powerful then it in some way.

Thanks for reading, hope this helps!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm sure it'll look a lot cooler in the film.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wow great eye. I did not notice that. Somehow I assumed he just followed her into the cove. Now seeing that she may have actually captured him.. It brings new life to the story that is still so very much a mystery. =O

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's from the trailer, the image has been altered to make the dragon clearer.

    ReplyDelete
  48. OMG yes it is Hiccup. I lookd more closely to be sure and you can see his good leg and his metal leg, if you look closely.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hold on which part of the trailer.. I don't remember seeing this guy..

    ReplyDelete
  50. wait i see this guy before i don't remember which part it was but seen him

    ReplyDelete
  51. Omg wow just had a second look and found it. Wow didn't even notice this clear shot of the dragon before.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I know right..then they kept up a HTTYD score for someones entrance. HTTYD just ruled the night haha.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thats the spirit! If not, we can all join in the riot to get our money back. Nah, just kidding. XD

    ReplyDelete
  54. can someone tell why this is a big movie to go all crazy about

    ReplyDelete
  55. I am pretty sure they just keep the RD and other giant dragons like this out of there, to keep it fair. The NF is the most extraordinary dangerous dragon, but dragons like the RD and Bewilderbeast are the king and queens of all dragons. That are evil and as far as we know untameable. Bewilderbeast might be tameable though, because HideousZippleback said he once saw a movie description saying there were 2 Bewilderbeasts and one was in Hiccup's army, the other in Drago's. But this may not be true.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wait since Hiccup is carried in do they carry Toothless or does he "glide" and follow them? I wonder...

    ReplyDelete
  57. No, It is the most beautiful thing in the world, that Hiccup dumps Astrid for it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. They better not start killing off main characters just because this is one of their more mature movies. DW never has before, and I hope they wont start for HTTYD 2. I CANT TAKE THAT KIND OF SADNESS.

    ReplyDelete
  59. From what we've heard, Toothless is carried by other dragons to Valka's lair.

    ReplyDelete
  60. WHAT?! My family was watching the oscars, but I wasn't. NO ONE EVER SAID ANYTHING TO ME!!!! Where can I go to see this? (because they are over by now.)

    ReplyDelete
  61. it did help thank you but one thing with a night furys strength I rewatched the episode where toothless fights the whispering death the one he has a grudge with and even though toothless couldn't fly he managed to tackle the much larger and heavier whispering death and keep it pinned so in you opinoun if toothless could fly on his own (no rider and no FIRE) who will win toothless vs whispering death toothless vs skrill and toothless vs typhomerang thanks

    ReplyDelete
  62. ABC might have it on its app. And I assume they'll show reruns of the ceremony for a few days. Might also be on on-demand

    ReplyDelete
  63. dragon wings nice to talk to you again and very good point but what do you think if there are two bewilderbeasts would there be two red deaths and also in the trailer drago had an army but will berk be involved in the fighting

    ReplyDelete
  64. hmm how will Heather look if she was older ???

    ReplyDelete
  65. What? The dragon that carries Hiccup to Valka's lair is Wodensfang? I beg for some confirmation please :O

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'll give a shot at answering this one.. These are not red deaths, but instead bewilderbeasts.. We can assume the red death was like a queen, these are kings. Possibly bigger, stronger, and more evil.

I wouldn't think they would be able to be tamed unless by brute force, like if they are being forced to. Perhaps so chained down that they are controlled by their tusks (which could be a tender part of their anatomy seeing as how it is connected to the mouth. Similar to how we steer a horse, with a bit, they could steer them by controlling the head.. how? by chaining the tusks in the right spots. Not to say the bewilderbeast couldn't and wouldn't fight back to the authority)

As for Red deaths, they could come back but I doubt it. Maybe in the third movie. They might be like the mate for the bewilderbeast, who knows. But I just can't see four huge dragons coming into the movie in only the 2nd film.

    Sooo.....

My guess is the bewilderbeast drago has is like a chained slave, and the one Hiccup has is more like a bonded ally that his mother helps train or something.

Just the way I see Hiccup handling one rather then enslaving it.

Anywho, Berk probably will be involved with fighting. We saw Astrid and Hiccup, and characters believed to be either Stoick, Fishlegs, or Gobber riding with him into battle.

It only makes sense that they would come with the help of their village (who can now most likely all ride dragons)

But if they will do it I dunno.. They could just make the berk people charge on foot, who knows. With all the people in the battle scene, it is likely the Berk tribe is somewhere in the mix with Hiccup leading the way into the chaos.

Thats my two cents worth. =) Interpret as you will. =D

    ReplyDelete
  67. Might not get any, I don't know of any other person to claim this.. But it could be true. =)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hm... So... I guess Oceanzap is the only new dragon whose it's design stay the same in both concept art and final render?

If Bewilderbeast turns out to look like this thing in the final cut, I probably would be terrified or like this dragon less. As I may have said it, this thing doesn't really look dragon. Might to make it quadruped instead of biped though...

Those chains... It seems like this creature will be controlled by Drago. Earlier leaked plot about the movie gave some hint that there are probably two of them.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I do hope so. In the books, he's actually a Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus who has reached his old stage, yes?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Nice color. It seems to have a large spike protrude from its chin.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Who is to say what is dragon like and what is not? Almost all of the dragons in How To Train Your Dragon are original, never been thought of before by culture and the like. You don't see night furies, hideous zipplebacks, monsterous nightmares, etc roaming around common culture.

True they resemble some but Dreamworks gives them a life of their own, thus defying what makes a dragon a dragon. Just because common culture doesn't have giant dragons with tusks doesn't mean its not a dragon. In my mind, the more inventive they get with these beasts the better! That way people don't always look at dragons the same way any more, as just creatures with two legs or four legs with a set of wings. Or even no wings and just a long body. This way people get to use their imagination, and for kids this will be an epic thing to imagine.

Heck when I grew up the villians were Scar from the lion king and the hunter and his dog in the fox and the hound. To have these mythical beasts as both heros and villians at such a young age. Childhood just got better for a lot of kids. =)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wonder what dragon found inside. I think it's some sort of puzzle, so you find pieces of dragons then you assemble it to it's form perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I know. I'm glad they actually make some dragons don't really look like standard dragon, but... in cast for the Bewilderbeast, if I may say, I actually like it's leaked image design better, but oh well... :3

    ReplyDelete
  74. XD Ya thats the problem with leaked designs.. It could be in the film or.. because it was leaked.. they could have redone the villian dragon so people wouldn't know what it looked like. Dunno if a studio would go that far, but they might have.

Either that or thats one of the dragons that is somehow introduced.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Which why I'm not so enthusiastic about the figures! XD

    ReplyDelete
  76. Kill it before it lay eggs! XD

No, really. I wish this giant dragon will not ended up getting killed. WHo knows, it might actually gentle in nature but turned ferocious because Dragon controls it against it will, once it's chains are broken, it might switch sides...

    Just a guess :3

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ugh... Now I wish those images were never leaked...

That's the bewilderbeast!? It looks like a mammoth to me... :D

    ReplyDelete
  80. Doesn't the top of the Bewilderbeast remind you of that thing in the trailer, where Astrid says to Hiccup, "What could have done that?"
    The shape seems the same.

    ReplyDelete
  81. nope, this is still the cloudjumper

    ReplyDelete
  82. What Arys meant is that the red skrill looking dragon could have been Cloudjumper's concept design. Or at least that's what I understood.

    ReplyDelete
  83. What does that have to do with the bewilderbeast?

    ReplyDelete
  84. What is that? It's disturbing.

    ReplyDelete
  85. there are Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus in the movie, you can spot one blue in the movie as you can see in this pic :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. yeah, but they have made the model and putted it into the movie, i'm pretty sure they wont change it ;)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Lol, your reaction is funny, I wish they would make a changewing mini figure.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well, based on descriptions of the second Comic Con clip, this is roughly what we know happens:

Valka attacks Hiccup and Toothless for no good reason, ripping Hiccup off the saddle. For obvious reasons, Toothless falls into the ocean, and is dragged under. Now, based in this picture from the clip, we know that Hiccup is subsequently taken to Valka's cave of cliches (just for once, I'd like to have a hermit live in an idyllic landscape), but Toothless is not pictured.

From this, two basic predictions have proven most common for how Toothless gets to the cave:

    1. Valka has some dragons (most commonly, this prediction involves using the sea dragons that dragged Toothless under in the first place - seems to be kind of a me

    ReplyDelete
  91. Do you have a source on this? It's definitely a plausible theory (albeit one that doesn't make complete sense) that people have been throwing around, but I've yet to see anything even approaching official confirmation.

    ReplyDelete
  92. This doesn't look like the giant dragon from the trailer. In the trailer the dragon was black and it had some kind of fins on his leg.

    ReplyDelete
  93. There was this big black foot in the HTTYD 2 trailer, so what if there are two Bewilderbeasts, one being white and the other being black? And the black would be Valka's because we can see it destroying dragon traps in the trailer. So maybe this white one is the "bad one" and is controlled by Drago? Because this dragon is having those chains on it.

At 01:04 the 'iceberg' may actually be the Bewilderbeast's back.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9a4PvzlqoQ

    In which case, it's massive.

Oh and to answer your question about why it is chained up. When it walks, the chain will drag along the floor and wipe out infantry; the same was done with the Olifants in Lord of the Rings.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The name of the dragon individual is Grendel.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Maybe we should stop coming to this site all together.... *Hides away while an angry fandom mob chases me* I'm only joking, but still.

    ReplyDelete
  100. XP Well I didn't. I want most of my brain to still be clean before the movie comes out. So far I haven't heard anything on HOME or Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I've seen the Academy Awards. They had shown an around 90 seconds reel of animated movies and the part for HTTYD was only 2 seconds long...

    ReplyDelete
  102. Okay, I know this dragon was very ugly (others option), but in my option, it's an amazing dragon. The character designers made good work, and this dragon much different than the other dragons. I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. But you can't kill dragons with fire!

    ReplyDelete
  104. SplashTheScauldronMarch 3, 2014 at 8:09 AM

Sure you can! "Not so fireproof from the inside..." :D

    ReplyDelete
  105. Um, I'm going to assume that autocorrect is doing some strange things for you as well, since I otherwise have no idea what "HOME" would mean in this context.

At any rate, if you see Mr Peabody and Sherman in cinemas, then you will see the trailer for HTTYD 2, without a doubt (if there's one thing Dreamworks can consistently do, it's advertise), and that means you will get all the spoilers we already know. You may as well watch the trailer now, so at least you don't have to live in fear of having the biggest spoiler so far revealed.

    ReplyDelete
  106. HOME is the name of a Dreamworks movie coming out in November. It's about aliens invading earth or something.

    ReplyDelete
  107. So, while I read the comments... there could be two types of Bewilderbeast: the one chained up (the photo of the toy) and the another type (the one in the leaked images, that Bewilderbeast don't have horns, I think). From my point of view, it looks like that Bewilderbeast dragon toy had ice in his body (and probably the one who made that icy thing in the trailer when Hiccup says "What happened here?". About the Bewilderbeast in the leaked image, it seens that is a dragon from the sea... I don't know, what do you think guys?
PS: I can eliminate the leaked image if is for the better! I don't want DW angry :"(

    ReplyDelete
  108. Its disappointing that everyone doesn't like it..

    ReplyDelete
  109. You like it? I kinda like it! It seens HUGE and dangerous! :D Oh my, seeing that Bewilderbeast in 3D in the movie will be... a bit scary :O

  118. Me neither :'( Keep in mind that I was crying when Thornado was set free, what would I do if they killed off a character? I know they might kill off someone, probably Stoick, so i'm kind of prepared, but it doesn't mean I won't cry... :'|

    ReplyDelete
  119. that thing is creepy! o.o

    ReplyDelete
  120. Poor dragon, he must be living a rough life :(

    ReplyDelete
  121. then why is your name "heathersfan" ? :)

    ReplyDelete
  122. maybe that's why he looks angry XD

    ReplyDelete
  123. Probably because all she cares about is Heather, no offense xd

I agree. I think it is an original dragon and looks great. It will be awesome to see it in 3D. I LOVE IT!

    ReplyDelete
  125. The one in the leaked image has horns, they're just longer and thinner than the one seen up there.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I've never understand those people who said, for example "how could u love that movie, there is nothing in it, just kids fight with dragons!"... ummm... then if you don't care of it, then how do you know the story? duh XD

    101 days left!!!

  128. This is the real flying Toothless. He is a wind up toy.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I like it actually. It looks dangerous and fits to be the alpha dragon, in my opinion though.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Thanks for this info, even if it's just speculation :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. For everyone who own a 3D compatible device, I've multiplexed and uploaded the 3D version of both trailers:

    http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=kD2Iy5e2RCI

In the the descriptions you'll find a link to my google drive with the trailers in higher quality and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.

  132. Ikr? I keep hearing rumours that Stoick and one of the twins are going to die. I would be less concerned for Stoick since he is getting old, but I would DIE if one of the twins died. They are one of the best characters! (Btw, not saying I wouldn't miss Stoick, I would XD)

    ReplyDelete
  133. And it would destroy a big part of the fanfiction if they die.

    ReplyDelete
  134. IMHO, this looks more like some sort of Yeti/Ape thing than a dragon...xD Maybe it's the head shape or the fact that it is standing upright...

    ReplyDelete
  135. Nothing to do with this Bewilderbeast, but has anyone else been having troubles with School of Dragons these last couple days?

Meh, this dragon is growing on me now. Just imagine the thing in 3D owo

    ReplyDelete
  136. I have some trouble with it, sometimes it forgot that I'm a member :( and what bothers me most, it took away the color of my nadder :(:(:( now he is completely white :(

    ReplyDelete
  137. In the Books, the Wodensfang is as small as a Terrible Terror, or about the same size as the original Toothless. I guess I haven't heard anything about the Wodensfang being in D2? That would be very interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  138. that is too much :D leave two numbers, and we'll be happy:):):)

    ReplyDelete
  139. They said that the Bewilderbeast can shoot ice from its mouth. I'm quite sure that it's some kind of ice dragon.

    ReplyDelete
  140. So smaller red deaths? :D

    ReplyDelete
  141. I have a lot of thoughts about the Bewilderbeast. First off we all know how Drago enslaved it with help from Eret and i think the chains attached to its tusks is just to make sure that the B beast doesnt do anything wrong or doesnt try to escape and if it does Eret probably has some horrible machine that makes sure it doesnt do that again. In an interview it said the B beast was formerly ruler of Dragon mountain until Drago controlled it and enslaved it. The B beast is probably forced to do all this and help control the dragons. I heard there are 2 B beast and I cant really say anything about the second one but it pro!ably seems like the 2 had some kind of battle to see who controls Dragon mountain. The 1 one had that appearance like on the toy but the second one looked like the one in the concept art. Judging by how the ice cave formed the first B beast has probably been trying to attack Valka and it used its ice arrows to form the cave after it lost. Valka probably hasnt seen the B beast since then but knew it would return. The second B beast was probably injured after the battle and Valka took care of it and thats how it joined her in the battle. Remember these are thoughts not actual facts.

  142. what is that thing my sister is on top of me and said the same thing.(no literally she is sitting on me)

    ReplyDelete
  143. I never heard anything about the twins?! Only Valka, Toothless, Stoick, and then they might follow the book a little more and make Snotlout a traitor and die in the end. And I'd DIE of sadness if it was Stoick, after all Hiccup and he went through together in the first movie, I don't think Hiccup could handle that. Or me.

    ReplyDelete
  144. ENOUGH OF THE STOICK MIGHT DIE!!! It is a rumour! Not true! I couldn't handle that! After all Hiccup and he went through in the first movie, neither me nor Hiccup could handle to lose Stoick!!!! With how bad I am freaking out over Hiccup losing Stoick to Dagur, now having to chose between his dad and Toothless, I can barely take that!! Let alone Stoick actually dying!

    ReplyDelete
  145. practically, yeah :P

    ReplyDelete
  146. I am pretty sure that is not one, even if it was it is much smaller then the RD. There is a RD, PD, and GD. Not a BD.

    ReplyDelete
  147. you said gril for fan girl

    ReplyDelete
  148. If you refer to the book:

"Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus' are huge, blue, green, or purple, and covered in marine corals, anemones, and shells, however as it is discovered in How to Betray a Dragon's Hero, these dragons start of small, grow to their full size, then shrink back to the size of a hunting dragon."

    ~HTTYD wiki

I also think that this is the same species like the Red Death, just smaller. It has the same anatomy.

    ReplyDelete
  149. so his name is Grendel :)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Happy March! (I thought I would start posting the picture of my calendar every month.

    ReplyDelete
  151. My question, if this thing is as big as it seems, where did Drago get chains that big, and what's te point of them?

    ReplyDelete
  152. I was thinking Stitch, though that isn't news. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  153. For the sake of plot and what little we do know, I doubt anything will happen to the Chief until the last movie. Also, unless it's in the books, I doubt they'll off Toothless either. What made the first movie unusual in a good way is the fact that they did NOT pull off the typical "pet movie" ending of killing either the pet or the kid, and I don't think they're about to start now. However, going by what they've done so far, I think there might be some sort of official reveal that he's the last of his kind, functionally extinct, or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Actually, now that you said that... what you said makes sense. It had horns! I always tought that was a tongue too!
So there's only one type of Bewilderbeast?...

    ReplyDelete
  155. Actually, I think the series was confirmed for 2 more seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  156. could you send me that calendar please? x)

    ReplyDelete
  157. My country Portugal: 19 June (Yay!)
    USA: 13 June
    UK: 04 Jul

That's unfair for the United Kingdom! D: Why they put the release day for another month?! I mean, If that happened in my country, I would be so angry and sad! IT'S UNFAIR!

    ReplyDelete
  158. Please show the January and Februrary! :) Ohhh, I need that calendar right now! *O*

    ReplyDelete
  159. A real TRUE fan of HTTYD would be excited for the second movie, I agree with you :)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Well, this is an ice dragon, so maybe it will work?

    ReplyDelete
  161. the movie doesnt follow the book that closely, that dragon is a Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus, and Red Death weren't that red either, only the spikes on him, otherwise he was mostly blue, and in the book red death didn't even exist, only blue, green and purple death ^-^

    and the size thing, well...
I'm pretty sure dragons aren't born with a 80 feet wingspan and a body 140 feet long xD

    ReplyDelete
  162. the red death died by fire :P

    ReplyDelete
  163. If you want me to, sure! I mean, it's just screencaps and a picture of the calendar beneath it that I found and put together, so if I could get you email, I could send it to you :)

    ReplyDelete
  164. Here they are (I put the cover on there too :3 ) If you want the calendar, you can just give me your email and I can send it to you (I made it myself, so it's all on word document) And you can just print it out and use it :)

    ReplyDelete
  165. will work perfectly with my 3D projector (which was a waste of money because I normally see movies on my computer with 3D-screen xD )
    I'm not obsessed with 3D, pfff :D

    ReplyDelete
  166. when you mention it...

    ReplyDelete
  167. [email protected]
don't even ask me what that means, I just coupled words together...

    ReplyDelete
  168. They have no way to find out if Toothy is really the last of his kind. He probably isn't either. Just look how hard it was to find a Skrill, and the NF is supposed to be even harder to find then the Skrill. And as for the 'pet movie' thing, HTTYD was not a "pet movie." At all. They treat the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless like a brotherly relationship, and 'forbidden friendship' that made both realise everything they knew about each other before was wrong. which is one of many things of what makes it so spectacular. DoB treated it like a pet relationship though, which makes me mad. But then again, what didn't DoB mess up about the movie? The appearances, the animation, the personality, the relationships, just lets not get into that. I have ended up in many arguments with that stuff and have had enough.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I think that there are two different bewildebeasts because I found two different colored toy-one red and gray, the other blue and gray.

    ReplyDelete
  170. hiccupandtoothlesshybridMarch 3, 2014 at 5:15 PM

    I know

    ReplyDelete
  171. OMG THAT IS HICCUP!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON THERE, but I gotta admit, that is pretty clever. But how did Toothless get in the cave.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Woah, something tells me that this dragon might be the king dragon they were talking about......Awesome!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  173. it might be something holding it, like a machine, that steers is and so on, and well...
And how they made the big chains, I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA :D

    ReplyDelete
  174. But remember, night furies are reeeaaallllyyyy intelligent, so i'm sure a regular night fury can outsmart a whispering death and defeat it no problem. Plus, toothless is a trained night fury, so he should be way smarter than a wild night fury. Toothless may have found an opening or thought it out before attacking the whispering death. But then again, he did seem really op in the show xD

    ReplyDelete
  175. NUUU DON'T COPY HARRY POTTER AND MAKE A TWIN DIE! I loved the twins in harry potter, it would suck if one of the HTTYD twins died too.

    ReplyDelete
  176. It was more an explosion than a fire. If there is a dragon which can't spit fire, that burning from the inside thing wouldn't work. Abd if the Bewilderbeast is he sea dragon, I don't think that he can spit fire.

    ReplyDelete
  177. I want to upgrade my normal HC projector to 3D last year, but than I have decided that I wait for augmented reality glasses (Oculus Rift for example). It will be a much bether experience.
For 3D Ihave my computer monitor and a TV.

But why do you watch movies on a small monitor if you have a large screen? D:

    ReplyDelete
  178. I assumed that most of the dragons are captured. We see Meatlug and Stormfly trapped in the trailer, then we see Hiccup, Astrid and Valka having to ride on baby dragons, which I would guess means that Toothless and Cloud Jumper have been captured as well? I'm hoping that they are all rescued before the end of the film. I would hate to have to wait for the third film to see Hiccup and Toothless reunited.

    ReplyDelete
  179. 27" isn't that small if you sit 0,4m away from it :3
and my friend have Oculus Rift's, they're pretty cool, but pixely! xD

    ReplyDelete
  180. probably spits out liquid nitrogen xD

    ReplyDelete
  181. I know, thats why I haven't bought the development kit. The final version will fortunately have FullHD resolution.

    ReplyDelete
  182. that website has some new httyd2 toys i've never seen before :0

    ReplyDelete
  183. they aren't that expansive actually, the version my friend have cost 280$, the final will cost about 360$ I think

    ReplyDelete
  184. I'm pretty sure it will shoot ice, I don't know how, but maybe it will.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Yes, but you have to wait around 2 months for it, because it's just the development kit.

    ReplyDelete
  186. What do you want to build in for 5000 $?
For the best possible skyrim mods you only need a quad core CPU and a GTX660TI.
